Calling all quilters, sewists, fabric lovers, and crafty friends!

Ruffles & Rebels is hosting our first Halloween Quilt Square Swap, and we’d love for you to join us!

The idea is simple: you’ll create Halloween-themed quilt squares, send them in, and receive a collection of squares made by other participants. Use your squares to create a quilt, table runner, wall hanging, tote bag, pillow, or whatever spooky project your heart desires!

No need to be a professional quilter — this is about creativity, community, and having fun with fabric.

🧵 How It Works

  1. Sign up using the form below.
  2. After sign-ups close, participants will receive the final swap details, including the number of squares to make and mailing instructions.
  3. Create your Halloween quilt squares using 100% quilting cotton.
  4. Mail your completed squares to Ruffles & Rebels by the provided deadline.
  5. We’ll sort all of the squares so everyone receives a fun variety from other makers.
  6. Your swap package will be mailed back to you with your new collection of Halloween squares!

Then comes the best part — deciding what to make with them!

Have fun with it!

Pieced, appliquéd, quilt-block style, or creatively sewn squares are welcome as long as they follow the swap guidelines provided after registration.

✂️ A Few Swap Rules

Please send squares you would be excited to receive yourself.

Use quality quilting cotton and make sure your squares are neatly constructed.

Please keep designs appropriate for a general crafting community.

All squares must arrive by the mailing deadline to be included in the swap.

Participants are responsible for mailing their squares to Ruffles & Rebels. Return-shipping information will be included with the final swap instructions.

Because this is a community exchange, late squares may not be able to participate in the final swap.

Once registration closes, we’ll send participants everything they need to know, including:

• Final square size
• Number of squares to make
• Mailing address
• Mailing deadline
• Packaging instructions
• Return shipping information

Please make sure the email address you enter on the signup form is one you check regularly!

🖤 Why We’re Doing This

There’s something special about creating something with pieces made by other makers.

Every finished project will hold a little bit of creativity from different people — and no two collections will be exactly alike.

This is our very first Ruffles & Rebels quilt square exchange, and if everyone has as much fun as we think they will…
